Busan Pt II

At long last.....Busan Pt II!!!!!
It seems that I like pictures.
This is some culturally significant gate.

Hi, creepy carousel!

Getting ready to go on the cable car to get to the top of the old mountain.

Cable car!

We get on...

A view of Busan.

Some honeless people live on this mountain. Hm.

Hiking to the "fortress"
It was cold.
And windy.
Kelly not happy.

The fortress.

Getting ready to go back down.

Some high quality sushi at the beach.

Wasn't so sure about this dish...

Sushi!

The beach at sunset.

Our restaurant is the 8th floor up in the middle.

Just finished a weekend of scuba training and 3 weeks of English camp. Tomorrow we are going to see the Andy Warhol exhibit at the art museum and to see Avatar. The Philippines in just a few weeks!

Snow in Seoul!

8 inches of snow, -5 degrees and not a bag of salt or snow plow in sight.
Seoul was not ready for snow.

Here is the view from my front door.

This is the road that my side street opens up to. It's a very popular nightlife area.

I was on my way to work and trying to take a picture of my reflection in a window when a fine young chap offered to take my picture for me. Unfortunately, no good deeds go unpunished because he ended up dropping his coffee in the snow.
Note the rain boots. They leak. Don't buy rain boots from Target!

This is my high school Sehwa Girl's High School.

I looked out my office window and saw some girls playing in the snow.

A view of the middle school next door from my office.

A snowy train station.

Busan Pt 1

A few days in a city by the sea. A very windy and cold city by the sea.

Seoul train station, getting ready to find our platform and take the 3 hour trip to Busan.

Brendan carrying the big backpack.

Looking tired on the train. Somehow we ended up with seats across the aisle from one another.

Dinner the first night at a great Italian restaurant called "The Pan." We sat outside even though it was freezing and the heaters didn't help much.

Jagalchi Fish Market.
Here we see some hanging dried squid.

I don't know what this is.

Met a fish that really wanted to escape.

I convinced Brendan to buy a knife as a souvenier. Only 15 bucks for a sweet, newly sharpened and gigantic knife!

Getting the new knife sharpened

Eating at one of the small, family owned resaurants at the fish market. You can choose what you want straight out of the tank!

There were some very loud Korean businessmen chatting it up.

Hiking up to Busan tower.

Nice view.

A korean sized staircase.

Christmas lights

Part II to come later!
