Layover in Kuala Lumpur

So, it's been a long while (& uploading hasn't worked), but we had a long layover in KL before beginning our trip to Sri Lanka. We arrived at the domestic airport for Kuala Lumpur even though we were flying in from Seoul. We had to march a 1/4 mile or so down the tarmac to the cargo terminal. One plane was sponsored by the Oakland Raiders. They apparently enjoy disappointing customers overseas, as well. After a very confusing conversation, we finally figured out where we were & took an hour long bus ride into KL. Took waaay too long, but we figured out how to get to the real airport & checked our bags ahead of time (soooooo convenient). Their light rail is easy, & we entered the city excited to sample their offerings for dinner.

1st up was BBQ pork & pork belly; yes & YES!!!! In the basement of a mall, we almost skipped out on the entire food court. We ALMOST made a bad mistake.

Next, in the same neighborhood, we wandered over to "street food road", or whatever it's called. After rejecting all of the establishments, & starting our search over again, we agreed on a Thai dumpling place. yes. Yes. & YES (common theme)! No complaints can be had on tasty dumplings & cold beer.

Even though they were out all our requests.

I was full, but eventually after a long wandering we tried a Halal (Muslim) spot. After being ignored for a looong time, I ordered chicken Nasi Goreng (Indonesian fried rice). It was not bad, but definitely not worth fretting over.
